Original Vintage Poster, 1936
"CORDIAL -MÉDOC, La Liqueur qui réjouit le coeur" (transl.: "The liqueur that rejoices the heart").
Condition
: A- (excellent, near mint condition, two repaired edge tears only .5 inch in length, hardly perceptible).
Vibrant colors, poster had been stored rolled up in a tube and never been displayed.

Designer

Henri Le Monnier (1893-1978) was predominantly a poster artist and illustrator, he was also active in designing cartoons and comic strips. Born in Paris, Le Monnier studied drawing and painting at the École Pilon and at the School for Decorative Arts. As a poster artist, he worked for printers like Lutecia (1923-32), Joseph Charles (1934-43), Gaillard (1934-54) and Bezos.
