    Antique 1736 English Sterling Silver Wood Handle Tea/Coffee Pot 18th Century
    Presented is an antique, English sterling silver coffeepot or lighthouse style teapot made by Richard Gosling of London in 1736. This is a classic, Georgian form piece and it has never been monogrammed. The wooden handle is tight to the body. The body has never been monogrammed.
    The underside is marked with the crowned leopard's head for London, the lion passant for sterling silver, a date letter a for the year 1736 and a maker's mark for Richard Gosling. The lid is also marked with the lion passant and maker's mark.
    This piece is in excellent condition for its age. There is only minor surface wear and no damages. The pins on the handle appear to be replacements, but you can't tell unless you are closely inspecting the piece.
    The pot measures 8 3/4 inches from handle to spout and is 9 1/4 inches tall.
